Football can heal, unite, and empower

The GreenGoals Climate Football Festival organized by Centre for Renewable Energy and Action on Climate Change CREACC-NG provided children with an opportunity to strengthen psychosocial wellbeing, teamwork, confidence, and leadership through sports and positive engagement activities.

We were particularly inspired by the enthusiasm and participation of girls throughout the event, demonstrating the importance of creating safe and supportive spaces where girls can confidently participate, lead, and thrive.

In communities affected by insecurity, poverty, and climate-related challenges, sports can become a powerful pathway for emotional wellbeing, resilience, inclusion, and hope.

Together, we can continue creating environments where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to build a better future.
