Strengthening climate resilience begins with addressing everyday realities.
On Tuesday, 21st April 2026, Centre for Renewable Energy and Action on Climate Change CREACC-NG, in partnership with DO Take Action, implemented a community outreach under the Green Rising initiative, focused on hashtag#cleancooking and climate-health linkages.
The session examined the systemic impacts of traditional cooking practices ranging from indoor air pollution and health risks to gendered time burdens and environmental degradation contributing to hashtag#climatechange.

The outreach combined evidence-based awareness, stakeholder dialogue, and live demonstration of improved cookstove technologies, enabling participants to engage with practical, context-appropriate solutions.
To support uptake, smokeless cookstoves were distributed to selected participants, promoting a transition toward safer and more sustainable cooking methods.

This initiative highlights the value of multi-stakeholder collaboration in driving locally relevant solutions at the intersection of energy, health, and climate.
