CREACC-NG Partners with NASENI on Staff Capacity Building

Empowering NASENI Staff for Climate Action and Sustainable Innovation

In a significant step toward advancing institutional sustainability and climate resilience, the Centre for Renewable Energy and Action on Climate Change (CREACC-NG), in collaboration with the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), organised a one-day capacity-building seminar for NASENI staff in Abuja.
The training, facilitated by the CREACC-NG NASENI Carbon Ecosystem Team, aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of climate change dynamics, national sustainability goals, and the critical role of science, technology, and innovation in achieving a low-carbon future.

The session also provided a platform for NASENI staff to share experiences and align strategies toward implementing environmentally responsible projects within the agency’s operational framework.

Speaking at the event, representatives from both organisations emphasised the importance of integrating climate-conscious practices into the agency’s operations and innovations. They highlighted that empowering staff with relevant knowledge and skills is essential to achieving Nigeria’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the broader Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This initiative reflects NASENI’s strong commitment to advancing innovation that fosters economic prosperity, environmental stewardship, and social inclusion.

For CREACC-NG, this partnership exemplifies its continued mission to bridge capacity gaps, support institutional sustainability frameworks, and promote evidence-based climate action across sectors in Nigeria.
