ONE MILLION ECONOMIC TREES FOR THE SAHEL INITIATIVE #1METSI

CREACC has three numbers of tree nurseries, two are located in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State and one is located in Birnin Magaji Local Government in Zamfara State. Our tree nurseries in Gusau are located in Damba, a suburb located in the outskirt of the capital Gusau, it is also less than 5 kilometers away from the capital. The location is strategic for a tree nursery because there is a dam nearby where we use to water our seedlings using cost effective watering technology.

hile the other nursery is located in Samaru area, in the capital of Gusau where we have access to water.

From above is location of our tree nursery in Damba is the largest of the three, because at a time we can nurse over 30,000 seedlings. The tree nursery feed our ambition of planting millions of trees along the Sahel especially Boko Haram prone areas realizing how revitalizing degraded lands help in bringing peace and prosperity in the region. Thousands of trees were shipped from here to various locations in around northern Nigeria.

Our tree nursery in Samaru and Birnin Magaji also contribute towards fulfilling our ambition of 1 million economic trees by 2018. Below are some of the pictures of our tree nurseries.
